Security and data handling

Your videos are unreleased work, client material and sometimes private conversations. This page explains how ShortsCreator stores and processes them, who can see them, and what controls you have over access, retention and deletion.

Videos and transcripts are private to your workspace

Every video you upload or link, its transcript and every clip made from it belong to the workspace where you created them. Only members of that workspace can open them, according to their role. Clips are never shown to other customers, never listed publicly and never published anywhere unless a member of your workspace schedules them.

  • Content is visible only to members of the workspace
  • Nothing is published without a scheduled action from your team
  • Other workspaces in the same account cannot see each other's content

Your content is not used to train AI models

Your videos, transcripts and clips are processed only to deliver the service to you: transcription, moment ranking, captions, titles and rendering. They are not used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. The speech recognition and language model providers we work with process data on our behalf under agreements that exclude training on customer content.

Encryption in transit and at rest

All traffic between your browser and ShortsCreator uses TLS encryption. Uploaded files, transcripts, rendered clips and account data are encrypted at rest on our hosting provider's infrastructure. Connections to channels you link use the platform's own authorization, and access tokens are stored encrypted.

  • TLS for every connection
  • Encryption at rest for files, transcripts and clips
  • Channel access tokens stored encrypted and revocable

Roles decide who can do what

Each seat has a role in each workspace. Owners manage members, plans, invoices and workspace settings. Editors prepare clips, edit captions and place clips on the calendar. Reviewers approve or return clips. On the Agency plan, an approval step can be required before any clip is published.

You can remove a member at any time and their access ends immediately. Connected channels can be disconnected from the workspace settings, and access can also be revoked from the platform's own account settings.

Single sign-on with SAML on Enterprise

Enterprise workspaces can require sign-in through your identity provider using SAML single sign-on. Members then use your company login and lose access the moment you deactivate them in your directory.

Audit log on Enterprise

Enterprise workspaces include an audit log of important actions: sign-ins, member and role changes, channel connections, approvals, publishing, exports and deletions, each with the member and the time.

Retention controls and deletion

Source videos are kept so you can return to them and make new clips. On Enterprise you set a retention period after which source files and rendered clips are deleted automatically. On every plan you can delete a video, a clip or a whole workspace at any time, and deleted content is removed from our active systems and then from backups within the backup cycle.

When you close your account, the content of your workspaces is deleted. Invoices and billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.

  • Delete any video, clip or workspace at any time
  • Automatic retention period on Enterprise
  • Account closure deletes workspace content

Service providers by category

To run the service we use a small number of service providers, each processing data only on our instructions.

  • Hosting provider in the EU or US, for application servers, storage and backups
  • Payment processor, for subscriptions and card payments (we do not store full card numbers)
  • Email delivery provider, for sign-in codes and account emails
  • Speech recognition and language model providers, for transcripts and moment ranking, without training on your content

More detail is in our privacy policy.

Invoices for every payment

Every subscription payment comes with an invoice available to workspace owners in the account. Yearly billing is available on every plan. Enterprise adds an uptime SLA.
